San Gabriel Valley : Last Dilapidated Corner in Old Pasadena to Be Transformed Into a Pottery Barn

Plans are under way to turn tony Old Pasadena’s last major blighted spot--the run-down, boarded-up Col-Fair building--into a bright, airy Pottery Barn housewares store.
In recent years, Old Pasadena’s collection of tired hotels and liquor stores has turned into a trendy shopping and entertainment area, except for the vacant Col-Fair building at Colorado Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue.
This week, the city approved an agreement to work with a development team representing Col-Fair to nail down a deal with Pottery Barn, which has sent a formal letter of intent.
