UCLA named Sheldon S. King, an executive from the private firm Salick Health Care Inc., to serve as interim director of the UCLA Medical Center.
King will continue in a limited capacity with Salik while taking over for Dr. Raymond G. Schultze, who on June 30 stepped down after 15 years as director of the medical center, said Gerald S. Levey, UCLA provost of medical sciences.
Schultze’s retirement was the latest of several departures of high-ranking executives of the medical center in recent months.
