John Stewart, who replaced Dave Guard in the Kingston Trio about 35 years ago, will appear tonight at Underground in Santa Barbara.
Stewart, who penned the hit “Daydream Believer” for the Monkees in the ‘60s, has been releasing folkie albums for decades. With a repertoire longer than the Grateful Dead, Stewart has had hits with “July, You’re a Woman,” “Never Going Back” and “California Bloodlines.”
Tickets are $12 for the 8 p.m. show. The venue is on the beach side of the Ventura Freeway at 110 Santa Barbara St. Call 965-8360 for information.
