Even if agriculture isn’t your thing, there’s plenty to do and see at the Orange County Fair. The menu includes a changing array of exhibits and demonstrations on everything from water sports to classic cars at the Arlington Theater and nightly concerts by well-known entertainers at the Pacific Amphitheatre. Below are a few highlights; stop by one of the fair information booths for a complete schedule. Unless otherwise noted, all activities are free with fair admission.
* FRIDAY
Theme: Kids’ Day (children under 12 admitted free), also Harley-Davidson Day (Arlington Theater).
9:30 a.m., outside main gate: opening ceremonies with live music.
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: Ricky Van Shelton (country).
* SATURDAY
Theme: Harley-Davidson Day (Arlington Theater).
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: Stephen Stills (folk/blues/rock).
8 p.m., Grand Stand Arena: sidecar/quad racing.
* SUNDAY
Theme: Cars of the Past and Future (Arlington Theater).
3 p.m., Equestrian Center: Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Assn. Horse Show.
4 p.m., Centennial Stage: Babylon Mood (belly dance troupe).
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: Shenandoah (country).
8 p.m., Grand Stand Arena: midget car races.
* MONDAY
Theme: Teens’ Day (ages 13-17 admitted for $3), also Water Sports Day (Arlington Theater).
1-6 p.m., Grand Stand Arena: Youth Motorized Olympics.
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: All 4 One (R&B;/soul).
9:30 p.m., Arlington Theater: Revels Surf Band.
* TUESDAY
Theme: Water Sports Day (Arlington Theater).
6 p.m. Bijou Theater: Los Estrellas Ballet Folkorico.
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: Melissa Manchester (pop).
7:30 p.m., Arlington Theater: Zydeco Party Band.

Theme: Seniors’ Day (ages 55 and over admitted for $3; free Ferris wheel and carousel rides).
11 a.m., Arlington Theater: Seniors’ Hat Parade.
Noon, Arlington Theater: USO Show honoring WWII veterans.
7:30 p.m., Pacific Amphitheatre: Paul Revere & the Raiders (oldies rock).
