Furon Co.: The Laguna Niguel high-tech plastics maker said Wednesday it has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase an AlliedSignal Inc. subsidiary with $30 million a year in annual sales. Terms of the proposed deal were not disclosed. Furon manufactures plastic and rubber components for the transportation, electronics, health care and machinery industries. Company officials said they intend to acquire the assets of AlliedSignal’s Fluorglas business, which is located in Hoosick Falls, N.Y. Fluorglas manufactures pressure sensitive tapes, Teflon-coated fabrics and sheet material, tape and laminates.
