State of the Art Inc.: Corley Phillips, president of an accounting software firm that merged with Irvine-based State of the Art Inc. six months ago, has resigned as vice president of marketing and product support. Company executives declined to comment on why Phillips left. Until last January he had been president of Manzanita Software Systems, a Roseville company that specialized in accounting programs for small firms. Manzanita merged with State of the Art in a stock swap at $13.7 million.
