FULLERTON — Aluminum components maker Specialty Extrusion Ltd. has been acquired by a unit of Houston electronics manufacturer Alpha Technologies Group Inc. for $2 million cash.
Specialty will remain in Fullerton and all 28 of its employees will retain their jobs in the change of ownership, a spokesman for Alpha said Wednesday. The company will operate as a subsidiary of Alpha’s Wakefield Engineering Inc. unit.
For 1994, Specialty had revenues of approximately $5.6 million and pretax income of approximately $450,000.
Alpha designs, manufactures and sells electronic components through two subsidiaries. Specialty makes extruded aluminum stock that is used in the electronics industry for heat sinks and other products.
