Hugh Grant Returns to Girlfriend With Issue in Background

LONDON — Hugh Grant, home on Friday after his arrest with a prostitute in Los Angeles, had a few quiet hours to give his girlfriend Liz Hurley his side of the story.
Prostitute Stella Marie Thompson, who also uses the names Divine Brown and Estelle Thompson, gets her chance to divulge the details of her encounter with Grant in one of Britain’s most sensational tabloids this weekend.
At the rambling, stone country house the couple rent in West Littleton, western England, Grant and Hurley talked soberly while they lunched in the sunny garden and watered plants in the greenhouse.
Throngs of journalists--telescopic lenses arrayed like machine guns along the garden wall--strained for glimpses of the handsome pair and thrilled to the delivery of a brand-new double bed.
Hurley, 29, ordered it within hours of hearing of the arrest, saying she wanted it for the spare room, according to a spokesman for Benson’s Bed Center in nearby Bristol.
