If USC’s Mike Gillespie wants to shatter the recently established record for most runs in an NCAA postseason baseball game, he should consider hiring two San Diego consultants: Tony Gwynn for batting and Fernando Valenzuela for pitching. Undoubtedly, this would guarantee the Trojans increased run production as well as runs given up.
