Huntington Beach Bank Robbed by Men Claiming to Have Bombs

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A Bank of America branch was robbed by two men Friday who handed tellers notes that said they were carrying bombs.
Police said bank employees saw no bombs or weapons but gave the two an unknown amount of money. The men got into a black compact sedan that was parked on nearby Atlanta Avenue and drove away.
The robbery took place about 1:45 p.m. at 21022 Beach Blvd.
Police described the suspects as Latino with dark hair. One was 19 or 20 years old, about 5 feet, 4 inches and 150 pounds, and was wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and a baseball cap.
The second man was 19 to 21 years old, 6 feet tall, had a medium build, and was wearing a green T-shirt, dark jeans and a dark baseball cap.
There were no injuries.
