SAUGUS : 9 Inmates Hurt in Brawl at Pitchess Honor Rancho

Nine inmates suffered minor injuries Friday during a brief brawl between 35 Latino and black prisoners at the Pitchess Honor Rancho in Saugus, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies used pepper spray to break up the 9:50 a.m. scuffle, which lasted about two minutes. Officials said it was not immediately determined what sparked the fight.
