4th Train Added to Area Amtrak Line

Starting today, a fourth train will be added to Amtrak’s weekend San Diegan line, which runs from Santa Barbara to San Diego.
The new train will leave San Diego at 8 a.m. and arrive in Ventura at 1:01 p.m. The return trip leaves Ventura at 5:21 p.m. and arrives in San Diego at 10:40 p.m.
A round-trip ticket between Ventura and San Diego costs $37. A one-way fare costs $29.
Stops between the two cities include Oxnard, Camarillo, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Burbank Airport and Los Angeles. The three regular San Diegan trains will run on their usual schedules. The weekday schedule remains unchanged.
