Homedco Signs Equipment Contract With PacifiCare

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Homedco Group Inc. said Wednesday that it has signed a one-year contract to provide respiratory services and home medical equipment to members of PacifiCare of California, a health maintenance organization.
Homedco, which operates in 46 states and is in the process of merging with Abbey Healthcare Group Inc. in Costa Mesa, will provide its specialized services for the 175,000 members of PacifiCare’s California HMO operation.
PacifiCare of California is a subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems in Cypress, which has more than 1 million members in HMOs it operates in Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
