Staying Connected by Newsletter

A Reno, Nev.,-based newsletter called the Mature Traveler (not connected with this column) targets issues pertinent to seniors. In the April issue, the editors have published a report on airline policies that affect senior travelers such as age variations among airlines to qualify for discounts, which airlines offer discount coupons and which have discontinued coupon programs, Canadian Airlines’ generous discount program and a report on one major airline’s senior program, which has reduced benefits including its toll-free number for senior members.

A golfer’s membership club, Golf Card International (GCI), provides two complimentary rounds of golf per year at more than 3,000 golf courses in the United States and Canada, plus substantial discounts at 400 golf resorts.
