Southern California Christian used a 27-point second quarter to open a 21-point halftime lead, and went on to beat Huntington Beach Claremont, 73-54, Wednesday in a Division V-AA boys’ basketball wild-card game.
The game was scheduled for Tuesday night at SCC, but condensation on the floor forced officials to move it to Orange Lutheran. The game was resumed in progress three minutes into the opening quarter with SCC leading, 9-8.
Josh Cameron scored 34 points, including eight in the second quarter, Brian Mendenhall had 13 points and Bret Lautt had eight points and 20 rebounds for the Eagles.
