Bergen Brunswig Corp.: The firm said Wednesday that it plans to open a regional distribution center in the Boston suburb of Mansfield, Mass., to service its New England customers.
The center is scheduled to open by June, and is part of a 15-acre complex that could provide ample expansion room, the company said. Customers had asked that the company open a regional center.
Orange-based Bergen Brunswig is the nation’s largest supplier of pharmaceuticals to health maintenance organizations and other managed-care providers, and is the second-largest wholesaler to retail pharmacies.
