Bank of America to Open Branch in Vietnam: The bank said its Hanoi branch will focus at first on wholesale banking and trade finance. “In due time, we are going to introduce additional products and services,” country manager Luu H. Le said. The branch is scheduled to open Feb. 24. Citibank opened a branch in Hanoi last month, becoming the first American bank to have a branch in Vietnam since the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Chase Manhattan Bank has received a license to set up a representative office in Hanoi.
