Torrance-based Nissan North America Inc., the U.S. arm of Japan’s Nissan Motor Corp., said it will build a $30-million engine plant in Decherd, Tenn. . . . The American Petroleum Institute reports that unseasonably mild weather last month held down heating oil use, contributing to a 2.3% drop in overall U.S. oil demand in January.
