Pond, Pyramid Get Section Playoff Events

The Southern Section announced Tuesday that most of its basketball playoff championship games this season will be played at The Pond of Anaheim and The Pyramid at Long Beach State.
Six of the boys’ title games (Divisions I-AA, I-A, II-AA, II-A, III-AA and III-A) will be March 4 at The Pond. The same six divisions for the girls’ finals will be March 3-4 at The Pyramid. The girls’ games were at Cal Poly Pomona last year.
The Pond played host to the section boys’ finals last season for the first time and drew a section-record combined crowd of 25,739 for the afternoon and evening sessions.
