OUTLOOK
Kempf enters his fifth season coaching at Orange Lutheran, where he has led the Lancers to three playoff appearances. Kempf hopes to upset Cerritos Valley Christian and take the league championship. The Lancers lost Kristin Weddick to graduation, their leading scorer last season (12.9 points). Wright, a first-team all-league selection, averaged 10 points and will need to pick up the slack in Weddick’s absence. Morales and Zweib return in their starting positions and will help lead the Lancers in the battle for the league title. The Lancers rely on their speed and quickness to overcome the lack of an inside game and will need someone to hit the outside shot to give them more scoring opportunities. With their speed, the Lancers need Oesch and Wright to hit the boards and open up fast-break opportunities.
