Bell 27, Manual Arts 7--Bell, seeking its first championship since 1984, scored two touchdowns within a five-minute span in the fourth quarter to secure the victory in the 3-A semifinal game at Gardena High.

Vern Benard rushed for 142 yards in 28 carries, including a 79-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles (10-3) a 20-7 lead with eight minutes to play.

Raul Saldana and Freddy Alcala each had interceptions for Bell, which stopped Manual Arts (9-4) on downs three times inside the 20.
