HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / CITY SECTION SEMIFINALS

Birmingham 27, Wilson 20--Courtney Blunt gained 221 yards in 25 carries and scored three touchdowns for Birmingham (7-5-1) in a 3-A semifinal at Wilson (10-3).

Blunt had to do most of his work without his fullback, Marvin Powell, who suffered a neck injury in the second quarter and was taken to County USC Medical Center as a precaution.
