OUTLOOK
The Mustangs move to the South Coast League from the Pacific Coast League; the key statistic here is their 1-5 record against South Coast teams, and the team they beat, El Toro, is no longer in the league. Stephens has had a full year to develop his team and four starters return; Trabuco Hills showed, perhaps, more improvement last year from the first day of the season to the last than any county team, and will be far better off despite its tougher league. Hatch was a hidden talent last year; she is a terrific shooter--her 48.6% from the three-point line last year was the best mark of any county returning player who had at least two attempts per game in the regular season, then added seven of nine against Garden Grove and two of five against Woodbridge in the playoffs. The Mustangs are fine in the backcourt, but their lack of a dominant inside game could present problems.
