WellPoint Health Networks Inc., a managed health care company based in Woodland Hills, said it has hired John C. Shaw to help manage the company’s strategic planning team. Shaw, formerly vice chairman of Deloitte & Touche Management Consulting, had been a consultant to WellPoint management for eight years.
WellPoint said Shaw’s responsibilities will include the integration of future acquisitions and allocation of capital. He will report to Leonard D. Schaeffer, chief executive of WellPoint.
