Hits Magazine Tip of the Week
Industry insiders say Janet Jackson may use a special clause in her contract with Virgin Records worldwide that would enable her to leave the label after delivering only one album--the current multi-platinum “janet.” Also, Jackson recently left manager Trudy Green and rejoined former manager Roger Davies to plan a European tour. Sources say Jackson’s increased worldwide market value caused by such a tour would greatly enhance her position during any renegotiations with Virgin.
