Ameron CEO to Get Chairman Title: Ameron Inc. said James Marlen, who is also the company’s president, will take on the additional responsibilities Jan. 1. Marlen, 53, will succeed Lawrence R. Tollenaere, who will remain on the board of directors. The Pasadena-based company said Marlen’s succession to chairman was announced in the 1993 proxy statement. Ameron, with operations in 15 countries, makes fiberglass, concrete, steel pipe systems, coatings and other specialized construction products.
