Single Taxpayers

* Whenever one reads about a proposed middle-class tax cut, it invariably is about families and/or tax credits for children, be it for child care or educational purposes. The single taxpayer is never given consideration although that segment of the population carries a heavy tax burden.
Perhaps it is time for the single taxpayers to organize and mobilize for consideration. The senior population has been most successful in having its voice heard by legislators.
It is time for those who govern to realize that those who are unmarried are voters also. Remember us when talking about middle-class tax cuts. We need your help too. And there will be more election days to come.
