COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Saddleback Stuns No. 1 Chaffey

Anthony Carter scored 31 points to lead Saddleback to a 78-68 victory over Chaffey, the top-ranked team in the state, Thursday in the first round of the Fullerton men’s basketball tournament.
Carter made all 10 of his free throws. Former Edison High standout Micah Kroeger had 22 points for the Gauchos.
Robin Kennedy had 24 points for Chaffey.
In another first-round game:
Long Beach 88, San Bernardino Valley 63--Pete Sverkos had 16 points, including four three-point baskets, and teammate Chris Blankton added 13 for Long Beach.
