Thrift’s New Headquarters: Household Bank, a savings and loan that operates in seven states, has moved its main office and western division headquarters from Newport Beach to Irvine. The thrift, a subsidiary of Household International Inc., is chartered in California but is operated out of the parent company’s headquarters in Chicago. The thrift is Orange County’s second-largest thrift and the nation’s 14th-largest S&L; with $8.6 billion in loans and other assets.
