Coca-Cola to Invest $1.5 Billion in Mexico: The company said it will pump $500 million a year into Mexico over the next three years, according to Argentine state news agency Telam. “In Argentina we will invest $200 million a year for the next three years, and in Mexico, $500 million,” Coca-Cola Co. President Douglas Ivester said after he met with Argentine President Carlos Menem. “Our system--that is, the bottlers and Coca-Cola--will probably invest around a billion dollars a year in Latin America,” Ivester said. Coca-Cola has spent $800 million on new equipment and Technology in Argentina over the last five years, Ivester said.
