Leno Continues to Close Gap With Letterman

David Letterman still hasn’t lost in the ratings to Jay Leno, but Leno continues to close the gap. Last week his “Tonight Show” on NBC was only one-tenth of a point behind Letterman’s “Late Show” on CBS.
“This marks the closest competitive position between the two shows ever with original telecasts,” NBC said Thursday.
