Faylane Elementary School will hold three parenting-skills workshops starting today, a school district spokesman said.
The free seminars will be held at 7 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays in the multipurpose room of the school, at 11731 Morrie Lane, Garden Grove. They are open to Faylane and Gilbert Elementary School parents, said Alan Trudell, spokesman for the Garden Grove Unified School District.
The workshops will be held by the Coalition of Children, Adolescents and Parents, and will focus on setting rules and limits for children and encouraging communication.
Presentations will be given in English and Spanish, with translations available in Vietnamese. Refreshments and child care will also be available. Parents interested in child care should call (714) 663-6253, Trudell said.
