Don’t expect a dramatic building boom in Garden Grove.
The city is expected to see modest growth in the number of housing units over the next 25 years, according to estimates by the city’s Planning Department.
Between 1995 and 2000, single-family homes and multiple-family dwellings will increase by just a little more than 500 units, based on a county projection. Currently, there are about 46,300 housing units in the city.
By 2020, officials estimate the city will have about 50,000 housing units.
Garden Grove has a population of about 150,000.
