WOODLAND HILLS : Warner Center Firms Focus on Recycling

Business and property owners in the Warner Center Assn. have pooled their recycling efforts, reducing their trash output by more than one-third over the last four years, leaders of the Woodland Hills group said.
“The closed-loop concept is taking your trash and recycling as much of it as possible and purchasing recycled goods as much as possible,” said Brad Rosenheim, the association’s executive director.
In the first four months of this year, association members have reduced their trash by 43% compared to 1990, according to the association.
Plans include increasing purchases of recycled products and looking into gray-water issues, according to Rosenheim.
