Santa Barbara Flies Past Pierce

WOODLAND HILLS — Santa Barbara and Pierce colleges, two of the most prolific passing teams in the Western State conference, combined for 865 yards through the air Saturday night at Pierce in the Vaqueros’ 52-40 North Division victory.
Santa Barbara’s Jarrod DeGeorgia completed 30 of 41 for 427 yards and five touchdowns for the Vaqueros (5-4, 5-3), tossed scoring passes of 34 and 55 yards to Simon Banks and hit Ricky Demarest for scores of five and eight yards.
Pierce quarterback David Muir was also 30 of 41 for 425 yards and threw four touchdowns for the Brahmas (2-7, 2-6). Muir had scoring tosses of 12 and 45 yards to Jibri Hodge and fired touchdown passes of seven and 12 yards to Cedrick Meadows.
