NAACP Extends Employee Furloughs in Budget Crisis

BALTIMORE — NAACP officials have extended furloughs for 88 employees for two more weeks as it continues to battle financial problems.
The original two-week furlough for 88 employees was supposed to end Friday. The NAACP said the furloughs were extended to keep costs down while it works on a plan to eliminate a $3.8-million deficit.
