The Mid-City Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly luncheon Thursday. Representatives from the YWCA/Los Angeles Job Corps will discuss how the program can help local businesses.
The Job Corps provides employers with youths ages 16 to 24 who have completed 15 months of job training with hands-on experience.
The representatives will explain what the program costs participating businesses and how employers can qualify for tax credits.
Chamber members and other guests are asked to bring two canned or non-perishable food items to the meeting, which will go into the chamber’s annual Thanksgiving donation to the needy.
The cost of the 12:30 luncheon is $12.50 per person. It will be at the Midtown Bowling Center, 4645 Venice Blvd.
