Multimedia Conference: In another example of the convergence of Hollywood and Silicon Valley, Mountain View, Calif.-based In Silicon Graphics Inc. will hold its “Silicon Studio” conference Tuesday through Friday at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. About 1,200 people are expected to attend the convention, which is aimed in part at enticing the Southland’s creative community to use the computer firm’s equipment in developing entertainment products in a digital environment. On Thursday, exhibitions demonstrating innovations in film and video publishing, interactive games, location-based entertainment and virtual reality will be open to the public.
