Buena in Playoffs, Sinks Dos Pueblos

GOLETA — Buena High defeated Dos Pueblos, 10-5, Saturday in a third place tiebreaker match for the Channel League’s final automatic berth in the Southern Section Division IV water polo playoffs.

Matt Swartout and Jeff Malas each scored three goals for the Bulldogs (13-13) and goalie Curtis Tomlie had 17 saves.

Buena led, 5-0, but Dos Pueblos scored three consecutive goals before the Bulldogs pulled away.
