Maggie Dixon, a Notre Dame High girls’ basketball player, has committed to the University of San Diego and will sign with the Toreros during the early signing period that begins November 9.
Dixon, a 6-foot-1 senior, averaged 11.7 points and 10.3 rebounds last season for the Knights.
She will play point guard this season for Notre Dame. Coach Rob Dimuro said she is much improved from last season and should be one of the top players in the area.
Dixon’s brother, Jamie, played for Notre Dame in the early 1980s, then for Texas Christian.
He was a seventh-round draft choice of the Washington Bullets in 1987.
