Southwest Rolling Out ‘Ticketless Travel’: The airline said it is beginning the first phase of the system for travel within California. The system is designed to allow customers to make a reservation on a Southwest flight, confirm it with a credit card and check in for the flight with only a confirmation number. Ticketless travel--available to both travel agencies and individuals--may be arranged as late as one hour before scheduled departure. It may require picture identification of the customer.
