Hurst Puts the Hurt on Oxnard, 38-6

SANTA BARBARA — Khalid Hurst scored rushing touchdowns of 16 and eight yards and added a score on a 79-yard reception as Santa Barbara High defeated Oxnard, 38-6, in a Channel League game at Santa Barbara.
Hurst carried 23 times for 131 yards and amassed 210 all-purpose yards.
Quarterback Dan Nunez of Santa Barbara (5-2-1, 3-1-1 in league play) completed three of eight passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
Oxnard (5-3, 4-1) gained only 48 yards in the first half and fumbled twice, both of which led to Santa Barbara touchdowns. The Yellowjackets scored on the final play of the game when quarterback Taj Lewis hit Tim Ordonez with a 22-yard touchdown pass.
