SAUGATUCK, Mich. — Authorities Thursday found a bone in one of six small areas where they are focusing the search for the remains of 10-year-old Kevin Collins, who disappeared more than a decade ago in San Francisco.
“We do not know if it’s dog, deer, bear, human. We do not know,” Allegan County Sheriff David Haverdink said.
Searchers were concentrating on 6-by-6-foot areas scattered over six wooded acres and identified as different from surrounding areas by two tracking dogs and a heat-seeking helicopter, Haverdink said.
