ANOTHER SLAVE?: Though George Michael lost his recent battle in an English court to nullify his Sony Records contract, he has broken away from his longtime manager Rob Kahane. It looks as if Michael is going to manage himself for a while. His publicist, Michael Pagnotta, said the British singer has no plans to sign with new management until after the dispute with Sony is resolved, either through appeals or a settlement.
Meantime, Michael’s recording career remains on hold, with no release plans for either himself or the long-planned “Trojan Souls” album featuring the likes of Elton John and Aretha Franklin singing songs written and produced by Michael.
