Franklin Outshoots Verdugo Hills

Franklin High used a run-and-shoot offense to outgun Verdugo Hills, 41-7, in a Northern Conference game Friday afternoon at Franklin.
Verdugo Hills took a 7-0 lead when junior tailback Ishmael Dukes scored on a 77-yard touchdown run on the game’s first play from scrimmage.
However, Franklin quarterback Jeff Deno shredded the Dons, completing 16 of 21 passes for 244 yards.
Johnie Sanders caught four passes for 121 yards, including touchdowns of 41 yards, one yard and 74 yards.
Dukes gained 96 yards in five carries.
