BRIEFLY : Health Care: Casino Event Aids Cancer Research

A Casino Night fund-raiser for research into children’s cancer is scheduled Saturday.
The event, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Pacific Design Center, 8687 Melrose Ave., is organized by Concern II, a volunteer group that raises funds for childhood cancer research.
Since 1981, the agency has raised over $3 million for cancer research. Organizers are expecting about 2,000 guests at the 9th annual event that will include a Treasure Island theme including casino games, treasure hunts and fortune tellers.
Tickets are $75 in advance; $85 at the door.
