BODY WATCH : An Electrifying Date With the Phantom Soothes the Soul
- Share via
Home alone. The car pool has come and gone and blessed silence descends. It is time to escape into the music. I make my choice, and from the stereo the electrifying sounds of “The Phantom of the Opera” blaze out. Depending on my mood, I will become either the tremulous, haunted Christine or the elegant, sensuous, tortured Phantom. Today I am the Phantom. “Down once more to the dungeon of my black despair” as I clean up the breakfast dishes, swirling my black, silken cape around me. The haunting music fills my soul. I become one with this poor hunted creature. All too soon the van returns and regurgitates my children, and I must leave my dark lair and return to the daylight.
