Hughes Communications Inc. has appointed Harold E. McDonnell senior vice president for systems engineering and technology for Hughes Communications’s technology and implementation department.
Before this appointment, McDonnell, who joined the company in 1986, was vice president of space systems acquisition, which is responsible for acquiring satellites, launch and insurance services for the Los Angeles-based company.
Hughes Communications, a unit of GM Hughes Electronics, is the world’s largest private operator of commercial satellites.
