LAS VEGAS — Casino mogul Steve Wynn has filed a lawsuit against a Las Vegas tabloid, charging that the weekly publication libeled him in May by suggesting that he participated in money laundering and his daughter’s kidnaping.
Wynn, chairman of Mirage Resorts Inc., filed the suit in District Court against Casino News, writer Debra Percell and the Center for Academic Research & Endowment.
According to the document, Casino News ran an article May 18 in which Percell asked: “Who was really trying to launder money? Wynn or Cuddy? Would Steve stoop so low as to involve his own daughter in such a scheme?”
Authorities have never named Wynn as a suspect in the case.
