I’m writing to let you know that I (unlike Mary Lou Quirt from Thousand Oaks) enjoyed your article on how to boil an egg (In the Kitchen, Aug. 11). I am a wife and full-time mother of two children, and must say I’m a pretty good cook. One of my biggest problems has always been how to boil a perfect egg--especially one that doesn’t have the shell stuck to it. After reading your article, I have found success. I’ve even placed the “recipe” on the inside of my cupboard!

I eat one hard-boiled egg one morning every week and until I read your wonderful article on how to properly boil an egg I really didn’t enjoy it. Now they are simply delicious. Keep doing what you’re doing!
